Explore the majestic Annapurna foothills on this incredible trekking adventure through Nepal. Delve into the cultural riches of Kathmandu before embarking on a journey through the picturesque Ghandruk and Landruk. Trek through rice fields, forests, and suspension bridges as you uncover the unique traditions and customs of the local communities.

Start your journey in Kathmandu, the cultural and historical heart of Nepal. Explore the city’s ancient temples and immerse yourself in the local culture. The next day, we’ll head to Pokhara, known for its stunning lakeside views and surrounded by the Himalayas.

From Pokhara, we make our way to Birethanti and begin trekking adventures. The journey takes through picturesque villages and stunning landscapes, including the charming villages of Ghandruk and Landruk. Then trek through Majgaon and Dhampus before ending the trek in Pokhara. The journey concludes in Kathmandu, leaving everyone with memories of the breathtaking beauty of Nepal and its warm and welcoming people.

Day wise Itinerary

DAY 01: ARRIVE IN KATHMANDU

Arrive at Kathmandu International Airport (Flight details to be advised)
‘Meet and Greet’ on arrival and transfer to The Dwarika’s Hotel.
Kathmandu, Nepal’s capital, is set in a valley surrounded by the Himalayan mountains. Durbar Square is at the heart of the old city’s maze-like alleys, which becomes frenetic during Indra Jatra, a religious festival featuring masked dances. Many of the city’s historic sites were damaged or destroyed by a 2015 earthquake. Durbar Square’s palace, Hanuman Dhoka, and Kasthamandap, a wooden Hindu temple, are being rebuilt.
Rest of the day at leisure (Car and driver services not included). Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 02: KATHMANDU

Proceed for the sightseeing of Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, and Boudhanath Stupa.
Bhaktapur Durbar Square: Located 12 km East of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur or Bhadgaon, literally meaning ‘the City of Devotees’, is the smallest city in the Kathmandu valley. Its Main Square, or ‘Layaku’ is famous for the 15th-century Palace of 55 Carved Windows with the Golden Gate as a royal entrance.
In front of the palace building are innumerable temples and architectural showpieces, including the Lion Gate, the statue of King Bhupatindra Malla mounted on a giant stone pillar, and the stone temple of Vatsala Devi, another beautiful example of Shikhara-style architecture.
There is a bronze bell on the temple terrace, also known as the Bell of Barking Dogs. This was erected in 1737 by King Ranjit Malla; its sound announced the beginning and end of a daily curfew.
Boudhanath stupa: One of the oldest and the biggest Buddhist monuments ever built in Nepal, Boudhanath is a spherical stupa structure imposing 36 metres with three massive Mandala-style platforms. Located 08 kilometres east of Kathmandu, the stupa with four pairs of eyes at the four cardinal directions is believed to be keeping watch for righteous behaviour and human prosperity.
Built on an octagonal base inset with 108 prayer wheels, the shrine is ringed by the settlement, especially of the Tibetan refugees who entered Nepal in the 1950s. They have developed the place into a ‘Mini-Tibet’ ever since.
Pashupatinath Temple dating back to 400 A.D., is one of the oldest temples dedicated to Lord Shiva- the superior god per Hindu mythology. Situated 05 kilometres east of Kathmandu amidst a lush green natural setting on the bank of the sacred Bagmati River, the temple is built in a two-storey Pagoda design with a gilded roof and richly carved silver doors. It houses the sacred linga, or phallic symbol of Lord Shiva.

DAY 03: KATHMANDU – POKHARA – BIRETHANTI

Transfer to Kathmandu Airport to board Buddha Air flight
Flight U4 607 for Kathmandu – Pokhara (0920 / 0945).
On arrival, transfer to the trekking start point (approximately 01-hour drive).
The walk will follow a ridgeline in the lower foothills of the Annapurna with surrounding views of the Pokhara Valley. This route then drops to the Modi River Valley, where Ker & Downey Sanctuary Lodge is located. The lodge has magnificent views of the sacred and unclimbed Fishtail Mountain, or Machhapuchhre, as it is locally known.
A picnic lunch is provided with a late afternoon arrival at the lodge.

DAY 04: BIRETHANTI – GHANDRUK

Breakfast will be ready in the dining room. After breakfast, you will leave the lodge to trek through the scattered small farms. Following the Modi Khola and with a constant view of Mt. Machhapuchhre ahead, you will soon climb the valley towards the mountains.
Passing through the rice fields and forest, you will arrive at the Himalaya Lodge in Ghandruk early afternoon for a hot lunch served on arrival as you enjoy the spectacular views of Annapurna Massif.
Trek time: 05 hours

DAY 05: GHANDRUK – LANDRUK

Leaving the Ghandruk village, the trek descends steeply to the banks of the Modi River. Crossing the suspension bridge, we trek up into the Landruk village, enjoying the views of the Annapurna range and passing through the cliffs where honey hunters climb up on the ropes to hunt the wild bee honey.
Lunch will be ready as we arrive at our lodge. After lunch, you can either rest in your room to enjoy the spectacular views of the mountains or go on a sightseeing tour in the village with your guide.

DAY 06: LANDRUK – MAJGAON

After breakfast, as your porters pack the bags to leave for the trek, you and your guide will start your trek passing through the village and farmlands with views of Annapurna in the backdrop. An easy trek to Majgaon today, you arrive at the Ker and Downy Lodge.
You can enjoy the views of the mountains from your room, relax after the trek, or spend your time in the garden. You can also take a short walk to the village with our guide.
Trek time: 04 hours

DAY 07: MAJGAON – DHAMPUS

Starting your trek today, you continue trekking towards Patlekhet, a small village towards Pothana, where you stop. Pothana is another small village along the trek where Tibetan traders used to sell souvenirs and gifts to the tourists trekking up and down the Annapurna Base Camp. As you reach your lodge in Dhampus, you get spectacular views of the entire Annapurna range.
Once at the lodge, you will be served hot lunch, after which you can take a short walk into Dhampus village.

DAY 08: DHAMPUS – POKHARA

After breakfast, we depart along the ridge & descend through the wooded hillside and terraced farmland to the valley floor.
Trekking Ending Point (Trek Time: 02 hours)
On arrival, transfer by road to Pokhara and check in at Fish Tail Lodge.
Pokhara is a city on Phewa Lake in central Nepal. It’s known as a gateway to the Annapurna Circuit, a popular trail in the Himalayas. Tal Barahi Temple, a 2-story pagoda, sits on an island in the lake.
On the Eastern shore, the Lakeside district has yoga centres and restaurants. In the city’s South, the International Mountain Museum has exhibits on the history of mountaineering and the people of the Himalayas.
