Transfer to Bharatpur Airport (approximately 45 minutes drive) to board Yeti Airlines flight
Flight YT 632 for Bharatpur – Pokhara (1130 / 1150)
On arrival, a sightseeing tour of Pokhara, including a visit to Bindabasini Temple and Devi’s Fall, awaits you, followed by a visit to Pokhara Old Bazaar.
Bindabasini Temple is of great religious importance to Hindus living in the Pokhara region. It is a vital hub of religious fervour. The temple is dedicated to the Hindu goddess Durga, Pokhara’s chosen guardian deity. The Hindu festival of Dashain sees large numbers of believers coming to offer sacrifices at Binhyabasini Mandir. Indeed, there is little space for tourists during the festival of Dashain.
Devi’s Falls, locally known as Patale Chhango (or Hell’s Fall), Devi’s fall is an amazing waterfall lying about 2 km southwest of Pokhara airport on the highway to Tansen. It was named after Devi, a Swiss lady swept away when the floodgates were accidentally opened, never to be seen again.
Pokhara Old Bazaar, a traditional bazaar, is as bright and colourful as its ethnically diverse traders. Located around 4 km from the Lakeside, it offers pleasant shade and is strewn with shops selling everything from edibles and cloth to cosmetics and gold!
Enjoy a brief boat ride on Phewa Lake
Spend a quiet time boating in the ultimate lake where the reflections of Mount Annapurna and Macchapuchare range fall. You will also see a variety of fish while boating. An island temple is located in the middle of the lake. Thick forests lie on the adjoining southern slopes of the lake. It’s hard to escape the draw of Phewa Lake, and any visitor with even a few spare minutes should endeavour to take a boat out on the water to experience the wonderful views of the reflected mountains fully.
